PERSONAL SAFETY

Safe & Strong

Empower yourself by living a personal safety-focused lifestyle

1 hour micro-course on personal safety essentials which covers how to avoid being targeted by crime, and what to do if you end up in a dangerous encounter.

Daily Violence Prevention

Have you started to feel more uneasy and unsafe while going about your daily life? Many people are feeling the same way these days. And it's not without reason. Crime rates have skyrocketed in our cities since COVID.

Perhaps you have to be in higher risk areas of town that have become much more dangerous, such as public transit, malls, downtown or parks. Perhaps you have to work alone, or have clients who are volatile or unpredictable. Perhaps you are getting older and feeling more vulnerable, or have to protect those in your family who are vulnerable. Even if you feel relatively safe in your daily life, it never hurts to have some extra knowledge that can enhance the safety of your family's life.

That's why we've taken the best content from all of our personal safety courses and combined them all into this single 1 hour micro-course. It covers everything from how crime happens, to how to avoid being targeted and getting into an altercation, to what are your options if you were to face danger.

The Shades of Violence

Violence comes in all shades and forms. These include physical violence such as assault, sexual assault and robbery. It also include emotional assault like stalking, bullying and harassment. All of these can happen between strangers, or people who know each other very well such as intimate partner violence / domestic assault.

This course specifically focuses on violence that can happen between strangers - the so-called "random acts of violence". No violence is ever random, and the course breaks down how subjects choose their targets and how we can be more proactive in avoiding being targeted.

Course Curriculum

This course is broken down into the following topics:

  1. Crime - How crime happens

  2. Fear - How fear impacts our mind and body and how to manage the effects

  3. Situational Awareness - How to see what doesn't fit the baseline so we can proactively avoid danger

  4. Other People - How to recognize pre-threat indicators

  5. Personal Safety Preparedness - How to plan ahead

  6. Reacting in Moments of Danger - Understanding your options

"Interestingly enough, when our “problem” client with the restraining order was attempting access to our office, we were much better prepared (this time)!

The content, delivery and practicality of this training was right on target for what I am trying to achieve with my team.

Dave, you listened to our challenges and addressed our concerns. I appreciate the ease in which we were able to facilitate this, you are very organized and responsive.
I have had some great feedback already! Thank you!"
